Docks Art Fair’s third edition will be happening at the same time as the Lyon’s Biennial, starting this edition on September 13th.

Credit must be given to this event which, with its exceptional program that designates the importance of contemporary artists’ solo exhibitions, it has already placed itself on the worldwide art landscape. Running until September 18th, about forty galleries from all corners of the world will offer an exhibition specialised on one of their artists and will greet professional form the art business as well as collectors from all over the globe.

The Dock Art Fair was first introduced to the market in 2007 from an idea of gallery owners Olivier and Patricia Houg. Their objective being the one to propose a monographic image of art and the new artists’ generation. The fact of exhibiting one artist only gives to the individual artist an opportunity to gain a greatly larger access and visibility from the gallery. It is definitely a first that a contemporary art fair permits to the public to envisage the complete work of every artist, as well as realize the crucial function which engages both curators and galleries.
