The extraordinary artworks of Pakistan’s top contemporary artist, Jamil Naqsh attracted thousands of visitors at Albemrale, central London Gallery.
The solo show by the internationally known artist revealed Nagsh’s deep inspiration by the French Neo-classicist, Jean Dominique Ingres. It seems that Naqsh reflects Ingres and recreates links to the intimate tradition that play so large a part in Mughal miniature painting.
Naqsh overlaps traditional methods of Mughal miniature painting with European techniques for a stirring result.
A large number of his exhibitions including 14 solo shows have taken place in different art capitals across the globe.
