The New York Postís website recently revealed in one of his articles that Larry Gagosianís store located on Madison Avenue at the corner with the 77th Street has closed its doors. No official reason has yet been provided by the prestigious American galleryís team. If it wasnít the Gagosian Gallery involved in the issue, economic reasons would certainly have been put forward in this time of crisis. Difficult to invoke such an argument for one of the most powerful galleries in the world.
This space, the Gagosian Shop, was mainly a reference for the sale of posters, books, serial works and other derivatives of Gagosian artists such as skateboards or T-shirts.
The New York Post adds that the whole lot of objects and works once at the shop will be sold on a special website that will replace the physical location.
